Hi everyone! First time posting here.
I've been streaming for six months now and I don't really have problems as much as I have annoyances I'd like to fix or at least work around.
Most of them have to do with setting up the stream, meaning that eventually everything runs ok(-ish), but I'd like to have OBS running more reliably and having less work at the start of each stream...
I'll enumerate to make it easier.
1. I use a bluetooth headset to monitor OBS (to hear the games, alerts and so on) and I have to turn it on BEFORE turning OBS on.
Why is this an issue? Because if the headset turns off for some reason (happened once) I have to shutdown OBS and turn it back on, meaning I have to interrupt the stream. If I connect the headset after OBS, it just outputs nothing, even if it is properly connected and listed in the Settings as the monitoring device. I tried changing the monitoring device from and back to the headset. No audio output.
Also, if I want to work on my scenes before starting a stream and don't want to waste battery, I have to turn OBS off, turn on the headset, and turn OBS on again... Which is annoying.
2. Everytime I start OBS I have to reset some sources. I have a Razer Kiyo, so I have to open the source, change the source input to another camera (usually I use "OBS Virtual Camera", so it doesn't mess anything else) and then change it back to Kiyo (which is listed as "USB Video Device" for reasons unknown, even though it is properly listed as "Razer Kiyo" somewhere else... I'll update this bit of info later). This also happens with my capture card video and capture card audio inputs.
3. Lately I've noticed that OBS just defaults my capture card audio input to "Monitor Off" everytime I open the application and I have to change it back to "Monitor and Output" every time. Why?
So, even though each issue is small, when these things add up, including checking, it's just a pain in my behind. Any info on fixes or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
