Hello,

first of all: yes i checked every other topic out there but nothing helped me on my problem.

I tried a LOT of settings in OBS and Iam ALWAYS! dropping frames (10-15% droprate).

My connection: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/2978354877
- Note: Upload is sometimes 890, 920, 980 or 1100.. I don't know which one is accurate anymore.

My System:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
RAM: 4GB
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 560
Windows 7 Enterprise x64

When I set the preset to medium my CPU is going up to 50% so it's fine.

Bitrate/Buffer i tried so far at 480p 25FPS AAC 98:
500/500
600/600
540/600
480/500
480/480
540/600
540/460

well and a lot more from 400-650

CBR and CFR are activated, also tried without them..

When I start streaming the first 10 seconds are fine then in the bottom right corner of the OBS window my kbs is going up and down like crazy: green,yellow,red,red,red,green,red,green,green,red... and frames are dropping nonstop.

Edit: I'm streaming Hearthstone.. so nothing flashy or nonstop action

Please help me out there :)

Thanks!

Lower bitrates always do tend to be a bit more unstable for some reason, it's always been that way since I even first released the program, always has been a common theme. I suppose lower bitrate connections are just so much more prone to instability because there's so little room. I feel like the only thing you really can do is just try to find the most stable server you can, and find the best bitrate you can. Keep your buffer size at about 75%-100% of your bitrate, don't go over or below that if possible. 75% buffer size might be best.

Thank you Jim,

I just wonder, because a lot of people with same upload-speeds seem to do just fine when streaming. Normally I stream with 15mb upload but Iam not at my house for the next 2 weeks so I'm trying to find a quick solution to stream at least a bit.

Yea, some people do seem to do fine with it. I can say that it does seem happen more often with lower bitrates though.
