Question / Help 800x600 Video Resolution Stretched?

Trying to stream my TF2 game at 800x600 while playing at 1600x900 (HD+) and it stretches out the resolution and cuts off part of the game. Is there a way to fix this? I tried the adjustments in outputs. None of them worked. And the downsize option for 800x600 isnt available for my aspect ratio

800x600 is 4:3, 1600x900 is 16:9 widescreen. You can stream at 800x450, which would match your screen aspect.

i did that too as well in OMP and the same thing happened

example: http://www.twitch.tv/mikephlurry/b/336667192#

obs is set to 1024x768 as well as source configure

Why are you playing in 16:9, streaming to a website that displays 16:9 (Twitch) but wanting to output in 4:3? There's no point to that.

Also, if you're going to capture a square area of a wide screen view, then yes, some of it is going to be cut off...

nothing should be stretched, regardless of your resolution.. if they do happen to get stretched, you can press Ctrl-R to reset its size while they're selected. if that's not it, it has to be a setting in dxtory.

for the best streaming experience for your users, you want to set your base resolution to the resolution of the source. so, if you're capturing with an 800x600 source, you want to set your base resolution to 800x600
