Hello guys, the purpose of this thread is to know if i can stream smoothly 720p60 fps CS:GO with the below setup:

  • PSU: 650W
  • Motherboard: Asus MA97 R2.0
  • 8 GB DDR3 1866Mhz
  • GPU: R7 260X 2GB
  • SSD: Corsair 120GB (for my OS and CS:GO)
  • Heatsink: Raijintek Themis (idle 35-40 full load 65-70)
  • Monitor: LG M2280D (22")

Also my upload speed is 5Mbps (4.5-4.8 actual)

So i want to know if i can and what setting should i use for bitrate and whether should i put a lower profile than veryfast (meaning: fast or even medium) ?

There is also a possibility of getting another cpu (fx-8320E specifically). Do i need to change to this or it wont do much difference?

Also i forgot yo note that i have already tried streaming LOL 1080p30 and it worked just fine by my side (probably the viewers would have problems with the 3500bitrate but i did if for testing) since LOL is not fps it handled it very well and quality was very good, also i tried Hearthstone which was even easier and some Heroes of the Storm which appeared a bit more demanding than LOL but no big problem whatsoever.

When i tried csgo i put something like a bitrate of 3000-3500 (I play on Widescreen 22" monitor but game setting is 4:3 1280x1024) and at OBS setting my monitor resolution is set to the native (1920x1080) which i dowscane to 720p (ignoring the aspect ratio ofcourse for the scene of the game. The result was a no drop fps but very pixelated which in fact i though it might be a cpu problem. (also this happened to be the same even with 30fps setting).

fx-8320E is ok, but 8 cores non-E is faster... whats your current CPU?

Log file maybe? Avoid super fast preset as that produces terrible pixelation quality at low bitrate. Can choose slower preset which cost more CPU, but don't let your CPU max out.

720p 60fps uses slightly less CPU then 1080p 30fps. More bitrate might be needed for 60fps. Twitch may allow up to a max of 3500 Kbps, if streaming there. Games with little or no motion can produce high quality at the limied bitrate, with high motion games pixelation can occur from the same, limited bitrate.
