6500XT in streaming pc suitable to just grab image from gaming pc ?

Yo guys; i got an older pc system that i want to solely use as a dedicated 1080p streaming machine (no gaming - no gpu encoding - only cpu encoding) - it contains ... :

- Gigabyte X99 Gaming 5 Board
- Xeon E5-2690V3 (12 Cores 24 Threads)
- 16GB DDR4 2666 Mhz in Quadchannel
- Radeon 6500XT

So my question ist; is the 6500XT with its 4GB Vram and lacking h264 encoder enough to just grab the image from the gaming pc`s Razer Ripsaw HD ? Should be or as the encoding is done by cpu anyways ? Or do i oversee something relevant here ?
