Question / Help 60FPS & in-game ping issues

Any way to run 720p@60 with my current PC? I remember streaming 720p@60 before and it wasn't that bad, but lately I've just been getting some rough fps lag.

Are there any settings I can turn down? Would Quicksync help in this situation?

Also, I get occasional in-game spikes. I know Smite servers are aren't the best, but when I stream I get some stuttering. I've tried turning on the low latency mode that seemed to work for one game but not so much anymore.

Thanks

Your computer seems like it should be fine with it as far as I can tell. Not entirely sure though.

As for the ping issue the minimize network impact and low latency mode are really the best options available for it. If thye don't work, then do you think you could be using more bandwidth than you should be? I'm not sure what your bandwidth is so I'm just throwing out ideas. Could also just be connection instability of some sort.

The thing is, when I set it to 60fps I get some fps lag in-game. Even though my fps shows 70-80 it feels like 20fps.

Smoshi I experience this myself from time to time when streaming BF4 on Ultra. My PC can run and stream BF4 on ultra while streaming pulling over 90fps on average. One thing that I found that even while hitting that 90fps sometimes I'll stutter a bit because my encoder preset would be on "medium" or lower which pulls alot of CPU priority thus affecting my game.

So all I can suggest is try dropping the frames to 30fps then just move your encoder preset up one level and see if the problem persists.

Well,

I'm having a new problem.

Stream looks great, no problems in-game but the stream will stutter every 5-10 seconds. Any reason why?
The reason for some dropped frames is because I alt-tab out of game a lot and that seems to screw with it.

and why does it keep showing;

I'm going to try lowering my bitrate.

Maybe it's just that time of the month where the servers start to act up.

Connected to server 4.71.251.162.

The measurement will take upto 2.5 minutes. Please wait.
