5080 not working with encoder

Ya I'm using the latest driver it's just weird because I literally don't have any issues with any other program besides OBS. I can test more on my stream later tonight I started a new profile. But I guess it makes sense since people have been having black screen issues and crashes with multiple monitors running at high refresh rates.

Stinks, the latest isn't always the greatest.

The release notes say the black screen issues have been fixed so either they're still pushing bad drivers or something else. Have you checked with DDU just to make sure there's no conflicts?

Ya every time I install new drivers, I make sure to use DDU with the internet unplugged. This generation of gpus is just a blow up from cards burning up, missing rops, and terrible drivers. Nvidia most likely just expects us to beta test these drivers until probably the 5060 releases and even then, I bet we'll still be dealing with issues.

I heard of some of those issues. I actually stop updating drivers when they release a new series as there's always a performance drop or worse. I just sit back & wait for the kinks to get worked out.

I am running a 5090 tuf on latest drivers of 576.02 after ddu safe mode clean running on 23h2 window 11. I am having the same issue still so good luck people.

Anyone have any updates on this. I just bought a 5080 and have similar issues. OBS crashes for no exact reason. Tested new scenes, collections, start fresh, new drivers, obs latest version and randomly obs crash. Everything else remaisn workkng just fine

Thank god I found this post. I have very similar issues… both my screens go black then after that gpu driver pops up saying it crashed same as OBS. Only happens when I have OBS open. Already tried a completely clean install of windows. After that I thought it could be a hardware issue but I put my 9070xt under furmark stress for 10 hours without issue. I was streaming without crashing but now it seems I keep crashing and idk why. I thought changing to nvidia but it looks like it’s the same on the other side.

Anyone else came with a solution for this? It’s really hurting my stream channel :(
