4K 10 Bit passthrough while streaming 1080p

We are using OBS as our studio switching software and shooting in 4K 10bit. We have BMD hyperdecks for recording direct from camera and recording a master linecut out of OBS, but the video output from OBS is coming into the hyperdeck as 8bit. We've looked at the advanced settings to change to a 10bit colorspace, but OBS won't start encoding if we have any of the higher bit colorspaces selected.
We are using 2 Decklink cards for capture and 1 of the SDI ports is enabled as our Decklink Output to capture the OBS Program.

Can someone point me to any documentation on the 10bit color options in OBS and encoder configurations?

I've attached a log of our attempts to enable each of the 10bit color options and launch the encoder.

As far as I understand, the only encoder that supports 10 bit color with OBS is nvenc hevc. You tried nvenc h.264, which will not work.

Sorry if my post is confusing. We are streaming with NVENC h264 encoder to Twitch, but we'd like the decklink output to be 10bit, does the OBS renderer/encoder settings not matter? Do I need to dig into the Decklink settings?

I think you need newer OBS:
(for example, beta of OBS v30 was here: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-studio-30-beta.168984/ )
