4.0 audio capture

I have a problem capturing 4.0 audio via OBS. I have an audio interface connected to the PC with 4 inputs and 2 loopback channels. I have configured it to appear as a 4.0 device (front left, front right, rear left, rear right). The problem is, OBS somehow doesn't capture one of the rear channels when set to 4.0 in Audio settings. If force the interface to appear as 5.1 (it doesn't make sense, since the 2 additional channels are loopbacks) with OBS set to 4.0 the situation is the same: missing one of the rear channels. But if I set OBS to 4.1 or 5.1, viola, the missing channel appears.
Here's the interface as 4.0 (OBS 4.0 or 5.1) situation:

And here interface as 5.1 and OBS set to 5.1:

Any hints, what's wrong with the 4.0 config? I see in qpwgraph that in each situation OBS is connected to the right channels (FL to FL, FR to FR etc.).

I'm not sure if it's been fixed or if you're even using it but there was a routing issue when using Media Source, the center channel was being routed to the Surround Left Channel. No routing issue when using VLC as the source.
