Question / Help 3770K Streaming Problem

I have a question that involve both CPU and Streaming so lets jump right into it.
A week ago I was using in my rig an i5 3570K @ 4.2Ghz Stable with a XFX7950, and I was able to stream without any major fps drops ingame with (VeryFast Preset - OBS). But so happens that my GPU got fried this week and I had to send it to repair.

At the same time I bought an i7 3770K and they provided me a mediocre GPU Nvidia GeForce GT 620 until the other one doesn't arrive. I've tested streaming with the same settings, (900p, 30fps, VeryFast or Faster Preset with Hyper-Threading on) The CPU usage was drastically reduced in compaction with my previous i5.

Now the real issue, while i'm not streaming I don't have any fps drops ingame, but when I turn the stream on I end up having worse ingame experience than my previous i5 cpu. I know that streaming encoding doesn't require any GPU it's mainly the CPU. What could this mean? Or the fact that this gpu is that old may have rly something to do with it?
Tested the i7 @ stock, 4.2Ghz and 4.4Ghz Stable Thanks

The GT 620 is a very low end card, and OBS renders the scene on the video card. This combined with having to grab the framebuffer from the video card might prove too much for the memory bus on the card.

The lower CPU usage you're seeing is most likely because OBS isn't getting as many frames from the video card as it used to, and encoding a static image for a few frames is a lot less demanding than getting a new frame.

Thanks I wasn't aware that GPU has it's part while rendering the scene. Hopefully the issue relies there.

Yeah, when you get your other GPU back all should be well. If not, something is probably off with a setting somewhere.
