Hello, im new to the forums, but not new to OBS (not a pro with it tho). It would be nice if someone could help me with that since I can't really find good information on this on google.

Situation:
-My brother and I want to stream both at the same time on only one twitch/youtube account.
-We both play on gaming computer with i5 2500k and nvidia GTX 570 (two DVI outputs).
-The third computer will use 1 or 2 input card and is not build yet. I have a i5 2500k laying around tho and a mobo.
-I have 10gb of upload speed. so I will be using around 7.5 or 8gb for streaming.
-I will be using OBS if it can work that way!

So here are the questions :
-What card do I need, two single inputs cards? 1 with two inputs (they look pricey)? Any brand and model you can suggest that I can buy in Canada or USA?
-Minimum system requirement for that setup using OBS?

thanks a lot!!!

A single card with two inputs will probably cost more than two cards each with one input, to be honest, since double-input cards are often marketed to professionals while single-input cards come in consumer varieties. Something like the AVerMedia Game Broadcaster HD would probably work great.

An i5-2500k should be great for streaming like that. You should be able to add both inputs into OBS and stream like normal, assuming you want to show both screens at the same time. You will need DVI->HDMI adapters, too.

It should work with mini-HDMI to HDMI.

The streaming PC doesn't need a super strong video card, but not an ancient one. If it came out within the last 3 years it should be very capable.

The AVerMedia C985 Live Gamer HD is probably the best consumer-oriented capture card available, and is well supported in OBS. It can't do 1080p at 60fps streaming however, but it can do 60fps streaming at 720p and 1080p 60Hz INPUTS are fine.

If you're OK with "pricey", you can try this: http://www.datapath.co.uk/products/vide ... ionrgb-e2s
More info: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1180

That will set you back over a grand though. I routinely check ebay for these Datapath cards but they haven't been showing up lately.

Finally, I think there's a Japanese USB3.0 device called the X-CAPTURE1 (http://www.solarisjapan.com/xcapture-1- ... pture-unit ) that people seem to really like. Price for two would be between the two options I mentioned above. Do a forum search for more info on it, as only certain types of USB 3.0 ports apparently work.

The Live Gamer HD is nice, but he doesn't need passthrough, so the Game Broadcaster HD should be sufficient. I believe two of those would be the most affordable option for 1080p capture.

I thought there was some feature that the Game Broadcaster HD didn't have that was nice to have for this purpose. But I can't remember it atm. Perhaps it was resolution input/output support, I vaguely remember something along those lines.

An ebay auction with the Datapath E2S I mentioned earlier listed for $800: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281179550619

Two of the X-CAPTURE1 is only barely less expensive than one of these Datapath capture cards. You can see if they'll take a Make An Offer to get it down to less. I have an E1S and its awesome, as long as you are capturing DVI or HDMI.
