2nd video source creates delay. Single RTSP alone works fine

Hi everyone,

My issue is, enabling a 2nd video source causes delay. Having single video source works justs fine. I'm a bit desperate.

I am trying to setup a OBS Virtual cam + VB Audio Virtual cable stream onto Zoom.

My source1 is an Android phone running IP Webcam, for video.
My source2 is an Android tablet running IP Webcam, for video AND audio.

I have configured two VLC video sources, reading two RTSP streams with H264 video and ulaw audio.

Scene 1 is phone video + tablet audio.
Scene 2 is tablet video + tablet audio.

If I "mute" (toggle off) phone video on Scene 1, then everything works fine, no delay.
If I "unmute" (toggle on) phone video on Scene 1, then Scene 2 gets delay, even if they are actually coming from same source.

No USB devices other than mouse, I read in this forum it might be a cause for delays.

IP Webcam streams run on home wifi on short distance which is more than powerful enough. Bitrate is intentionally low to isolate root cause, and still cannot figure it out.

You will see a delay filter on log, I was playing with it earlier but it is at 0ms now. Get same issue without filters too.

Many thanks in advance

Hello,

I think we have the same problem like you.
We want to build a sreaming system in our church with 3 cameras. We have ptz ip cameras with rtsp stream, an analog audio mixer and we wanted to use the OBS program for streaming, but we noticed that the videos from the cameras are in delay, compared to each other, and also compared to the audio from the analog audio mixer.
In the OBS we can adjust the audio and also the video delay parameters, but we noticed that each time we restart the OBS, the 3 video feeds and the audio feed are delayed in a random way, so the previously adjusted delay compensation parameters are not covering the actual delay situation.
The builders of the system said that maybe using vMix instead of OBS will solve the problem.
Have you had any experiences like this and did you managed to solve it somehow with OBS or other program?

Why did you do the two VLC video sources? How can it be done?

Thank you in advance!
