I wanted to add a spoiler to my signature but the maximum number of allowed characters is 255 and will not let me add any more. Is there any way I can get the minimum bumped up to 600 for better signatures?

The problem with that is that not everyone who uses more than 255 characters will put it into a spoiler, and we'll be left with gigantic signatures everywhere.
