Question / Help 2 PC Streaming (SC-512N1-L/DVI)

Hey guys,

I was wondering if the SC-512N1-L/DVI passthough support 144hz?
If the passthrough does support 144Hz, do I need to have the streaming rig on also to have picture on the monitor? (When I'm gaming and not streaming)

I have no idea if whatever that is (isn't that the Japanese capture card?) supports passthrough, but I will say I don't need it. I duplicate my screen with Nvidia's cloning feature. Other people use a splitter cable. Passthrough seems like a worse solution than either one of these.

Yes it is the japanese capture card, thanks for the reply.
I just placed my order.

Anyone know if I clone my monitor with a hdmi to capture card, it will transfer sound over?

Cloning the monitor will not send the audio too. You need to use the "Listen to" Windows function to send the What U Hear/Stereo Mix recording device to the capture card's playback device in the Windows sound panel.

What U Hear/Stereo Mix on the gaming rig, since that's where your source audio is going to come from. Set "Listen to" for it and point it at the capture card, which should show up in the list of playback devices on your gaming rig once it's connected.

Thanks man. I appreciate the help you guys provide here. V. cool! Just hope everything works out well tomorrow when it arrives!! hahahahaha.

It's for a 2PC setup, how would he be getting the signal to the encoding PC?

Edit: Nevermind, figured it out. I would worry about getting a smooth 60 FPS from the preview/projector as it tends to lose frames but that's easily tested once he has things set up.

Hey guys!!

I just installed the card in to the streaming rig. But I'm having a hard time trying to make this work. I was looking at my past posts and I'm confused on which method to use in my case. I am in desperate need of help. Hero where are thou?

Edit:
Does it matter where I plug my 4th port? Its currently plugged into my 2nd GPU's HDMI.

Hey guys,

I'm having a hard time trying to send audio over to the streaming pc. I tried looking in to the gaming rigs What U Hear/Stereo Mix recording, but I don't see the capture device option. Am I doing something wrong? Only option I have there is my SoundBlaster Titanium HD.

Check this out, its a YouTube video explaining how to set audio to your capture card and headphones at same time, made by your truly. Your HDMI output might say "micomsoft" or something else.
