Hi, I'm getting a secondary PC for dedicated streaming (I had one but sold it to get a better one as CPU usage was very high). I have an unusual setup, and would like some guidance on how to make it better.
I stream in 1440p to youtube (nvenc - 18mb/s), and in 720p to twitch and facebook at the same time (willing to go for 720p60 or maybe more if I get affiliation/transcoding), and I use a wierd 2pc/3 obs setup to achieve that, and would like to know if there's a simpler/better way to achieve the same results or better.
I run OBS on the gaming pc (running just the game), to send the stream in 1440p using NDI to the secondary PC.
Then on the secondary PC I have an NDI source on one OBS to get the game and add my microphone, camera etc. I open a fullScreen preview for that OBS, and set a secondary OBS to capture from that, first obs monitor all audio and the second one gets it through virtual audio cable.
Is there a better/simpler way to achieve this?
Also: Sometimes the second obs (preview capture + virtual audio cable) gets all laggy even when the preview on the first OBS is displaying nicely, if I use Wirecast instead of OBS for that it works properly, but cpu usage gets super high. I sold my secondary pc and am on the market to get a new one, not sure if I can make it work with 8 cores or if 4 cores and a 1050 for nvenc would be better.
