Can we have an option for OBS to record a single device in video capture mode directly without putting it on a scene. This would make OBS a good choice as a DVR for high quality local recordings. Proprietary softwares like Avermedia ReCentral are capable of this. I know OBS Studio was initially meant to target streamers but no harm in expanding its purview to use solely as DVR for high quality recordings. We could have 2 modes:(1) Multiple source mode(as current one) , and (2) Single device mode for DVR purpose. Many of us would happily be a customer even if OBS was made a onetime paid software(NOT yearly Jriver Media Center and Cyberlink products)
