Hi, me and a buddy of mine both want to stream a game next week. we are literally going to be in the same room, so we want to take 2 gaming pc's combine those streams using another laptop and then use that laptop to stream to both of our channels at once. So, I have nginx installed but i can only use one of the gaming computers at a time to stream to the nginx box, for some reason i cant get obs to want to process both rtmp streams at once. Most nginx guides are for one pc and one streaming box, I need to add a 3rd wheel to the equation.

Do i need to add a separate folder in nginx?
Do I need to add a second instance of nginx?
None of the above?

WUB A LUB A DUB DUB?

As to the 2 PCs hitting one laptop, I would recommend that you use the NDI plugin. Install OBS+The NDI Plugin on all 3 computers, and send the stream from the 2 PCs to the Laptop via NDI through OBS.

Then you have OBS on the laptop streaming to the NginX instance. As to having NginX hit 2 different RTMP destinations you need to add an additional configuration/output to NginX to hit your friend's Twitch Channel. You'll have to do a bit of reading for the exact details:

Please read the first paragraph and 3 links I posted which explicitly answers your question...or if you're having an issue with using the NDI plugin, please be clear (we can't read your mind) and state what is going on.

Ok streams are being output to the laptop in OBS and i put the two streams together added some other elements and the one boom mic we will be using is plugged into The laptop now how do i get NGINX to similcast the laptop stream to the two channels

That is 'covered' in the 2nd paragraph of my first post and the link included therein.

The question you are asking is about NginX and seeing that this isn't the NginX forum, I would recommend that you search Google (as I did in my first post) about how to use and setup NginX for such things.

Or contact the NginX people and ask them. They know their product MUCH better than anyone here.
