Question / Help 2 Computer w Avermedia Live Portable

I just currently got into streaming and am wondering if it is possible to stream 1080 with a 2 computer setup with the Avermedia Live Portable.

I can stream 720 60fps @3500 kbps on my main computer no problem, but if I try to push the encoding up high enough where I can squeeze out 1080 the drag on the CPU is just a bit to much.

I have a laptop with an i7 3820 that I could use as a streaming PC.

Just wondering if anyone has done something similar to this, or would a capture card running in my main PC be enough for this. 1080 30fps @3500 kbps (or possibly higher fps) is my goal.

The capture card would work fine in a 2 PC setup. In a one PC setup you get no benefit.
BUT, by switching to 1080p you will probably lower your quality quite a bit unless you would also increase the bitrate, which I would not recommend. Also the flash player tends to have problems playing back 1080p footage smoothly, especially on higher framerates than 30. And your viewers will need better systems to watch the stream.
In general, keep streaming 720p 60fps until the overall bandwidth and system resources have improved for everyone, and 1080p is more feasible.
