Question / Help 16Mbps limit?

I've noticed that the bitrate can't be pushed past 16000, is there any technical reason for this?

On the old Windows version of OBS, I would set my output bitrate to 60000 for local recording, and I generally saw the output bitrate spike as high as 35-40Mbps when recording 1080p.

What do you mean, it can't be pushed past 16000? There is no limit to the bit rate you can set it to use.

This is what I see. Trying to manually enter a number that starts higher than 16 prevents inputting all 5 digits, scrolling and arrow keys won't go higher, either.

Woops, integer scrollers. I'll have to fix that. For the time being, you can change it via the custom x264 settings, just enter in this:

vbv-maxrate=[kbps] vbv-bufsize=[kbps]
