Hello guys,
I'd really appreciate it if I could get some help. I've searched, but haven't found a very clear answer yet.
I want to buy a new monitor to play games on and stream, this is gonna be the SCREEN I will be capturing with OBS Studio. The problem is that I can either buy a 1080p or 1440p screen. Now, I have my mind set on a 1440p screen but from the threads I read a lot of people have problems with downscaling, etc. I'd rather have a nice stream than a 1440p monitor. Does 720p/1080p look better from a 1080p screen or a 1440p screen? If it doesn't, isn't there a resolution that you can downscale to so it still looks nice?
Last question, the reason I am buying is because I want to upgrade my Hertz to 165 (1440p) or 240 (1080p). Will it get capped at 60hz while gaming because I stream at 60fps?
Internet: 200mbps down/20mbps up
PC: i7-4790k/GTX970 (w/dports)/8GB ram
Thanks in advance!
