Question / Help 1440 Game Recording

Hi there,

I've been looking around the OBS forums for awhile trying to get the software to work perfectly for offline recording.
I've followed a few guides and have managed to get a good balance of recording at 60fps without getting dropped frames etc.

Current I've got it running well at 1920x1080. But I'd rather be recording at 1440p.
The issue im facing is that as soon as I ramp up the resolution I'm getting a few very minor lag spikes occasionally on playback.

My PC Specs are as follows:

2x GTX TitanX (SLI)
64GB 2666Mhz DDR4
Intel Core i7 5960X @ 3.5Ghz
m.2 Harddrive

Surely do to the high spec of the machine I shouldn't be facing any issues with recording at this resolution?

I'm running a test currently at the higher resolution, and I'll post the log as soon as it's reached the 10 minute mark.

SLI introduces problems in OBS classic.
Multiplatform handles multi-GPU setups better.

Thanks for the reply - I'm downloading multiplatform now, I'll run the same tests and check the results!

Okay, I've fun a test on the Multiplatform, and watching the preview as it recorded I couldn't see any visible spikes (Which is great!) the issue I've now faced is that there is an encoding error, also looking at the log - It states that the video settings have been reset? But at the bottom it states the specs I specified
