I can do both 1080 or 720p on my PC, but which do people really perfer ? should i only look towrds 1080p IF i was parthner ? because then people can downscale it to 720, 480, 360 or 240p if needed.

Please if people could reply back it would help alot.

Also the game i am streaming is League of Legends.

Will.

Well...i prefer 1080p, but i have a good connection. If you aren't partnered: 720p max. .....and try to get the best quality possible with the lowest bitrate possible.

Would you say for streaming League of Legends at 720p with 2500kbps is low enough ? also what do you like better to watch 60fps or 30fps ?

2500 with 7 quality is optimal for a global 720p stream.

1080p60 is preferred by me.

Course, that's unrealistic for most people not using thousands of dollars worth of equipment and about a 15Mbit upstream connection.

I've seen some 1080p45 LoL content; the bump to 45FPS makes things look fairly smooth, much more enjoyable to watch.

1080p30 is considered the standard high quality stream now.

720p30, while still increasing in prevalence, is fading ever so slowly as more people are capable of 1080p30.

720p45 is great, while 60 is amazing; in terms of smoothness. However, without a high quality encoding setup, 720p video upscaled to 1080p looks quite poor, IMO.

As someone who has a 1920x1200 monitor and consumes high quality content as much as possible, I'd prefer 1080p30 over 720p45, solely due to how much better the whole image looks.

I've seen a few streamers poll regarding 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps and most people tend to vote for the second.

Smoothness>>>>resolution for me, but it's all up to personal taste

Then again, I cheat and do 1080p60fps :P

I think i might stay with 720p 60fps, just so that more people are able to watch my stream. Then hopefully when i get a parthnership i can do 1080p. :)

Well, tbh: i'd rather go with 720p 60fps@ 3500 than 1080p 30fps @3500 .... even most partnered streamers don't go with a way higher bitrate than 3500 .... and IMO 1080p @3500 doesn't look that much better. I'd rather have the 60fps......
