Hi guys,

I am wondering if anyone here is an owner of AVerMedia Unveils ExtremeCap U3. I've been willing to stream in 1080p 60fps but I have made a kinda crappy purchase of i5 4670k and I've only managed to get stable 45fps and 720p on it streaming LoL.

Thats why I decided to buy one of these devices. And on paper the AVerMedia Unveils ExtremeCap U3 looks pretty awesome and also legit.

Looking forward hearing from you guys!

Capture cards provide no benefit on a single PC setup. All the encoding is still done on your CPU. Besides, streaming at 1080p60fps is absolutely not recommended. Bitrate requirements are very high, as are decoding requirements. Not to mention Flash player can't actually play back 1080p60fps properly, and especially the Twitch Flash player recently.

It's a good device if you want to stream consoles, however.

Alright, thanks for the quick and detail reply.

As I mentioned before I have purchased the i5 4670k 3.4GHz and to be honest I really thought it will be able to do more. Right now when I'm try to stream in 1080p 60fps it uses nearly 100% of my cpu and my game actually lags sometimes. I'am wondering if the i7 4700k will be big improvment. I understand that streaming in 1080p60fps is not recommended but I somehow think is essential for myself needs hehe.

It's not essential, it's awful. 1080p60 is awful for streaming. It is really bad, and very few people can actually watch it successfully.

An i7 would certainly give you better performance, and may even let you record at 1080p60 (depending on the game and what else is going on on the system).

Haha, I really had a laugh at the first sentence of your reply! Yeah I can understand that, it just makes the stream more professional and thats what I'am looking for. Thanks for the reply friend!

But it doesn't make it more professional. It makes the stream stuttery for 90% of the people watching. Stutter is not professional. It is destructive to the stream and reduces the audience of people who can watch your stream.

Alright, I got two more question. Is it better to use monitor capture or window caputre. And Why I'am having problems with setting up full screen when i'am using 1600x900. The problem which I'am having is when I'am playing game in these settings It makes the screen smaller so it makes my gameplay easier and the funny thing is while i'am in game and streaming the screen is fucked up for my viewers it aint showing correctly but when I go to the background the game screen is showing correctly.

On Windows 7, it's better to use Window capture, especially with Aero enabled. Monitor capture is extremely slow, especially with Aero enabled. On Windows 8, it doesn't really matter either way.

In what way does the stream look wrong? Can you post a screenshot or a link to a video?
