Question / Help 1080p/30fps

1080p/30fps running smooth like a 60fps.

i was watching his stream and i saw the FPS below it sets at 30FPS. when he started playing the game, the movement running smooth like 60fps i need help im pretty sure he is streaming 30fps

By setting it to 60fps.There is no magic way to insert extra frames in-between or anything.

What would really help us answer your question is if you could provide us with a video of the stream that you saw which was 30fps and looked like 60fps. Because as it is now, this is the only possible answer we could give you.

hes streaming 1080p60 but this looks like some vista problem on desktop.. no idea if vista also has this aero shit

Interesting how his OBS reports 30fps, but the vod is actually 60fps (source).

He must be using something else than the OBS window you see to do this stream, I can't explain it otherwise.

well if i stream 1080p60 or 720p60 and use monitor capture with aero enabled to show my desktop then the fps is usually around 30 if do almost nothing on desktop and its stable ... as soon as i start moving windows a lot it drops to random frames but ingame through game capture would be 60 fps again ... maybe this is only in my case but i doubt it

Yeah, my guess is that he's streaming at 30fps, but using Monitor Capture with Aero enabled on that particular scene, which seriously caps your frame rate. It would jump back to 60fps once he got into a scene that didn't have Monitor Capture.
