Question / Help 1 Channel Microphone - Would like the audio to have that output to Right only

Hello,

So I have a microphone that is only 1 Channel (Mic/Aux 2 in my image) - and I would like to be able to do the same as what I currently have my 2 Channel microphone is doing (Mic/Aux in my image)

I am doing something where I have one application's audio going through Left, and I would like to do that with a 1 Channel microphone going through Right.

Is this possible within OBS? Or would there need to be some other software solution to achieve this? I am unsure of what the options are for this, if any.

You might take a look at the Rematrix filter plugin, it allows more fine control over and reassignment of channels:

I know there USED to be a 'force mono to stereo' option in OBS at one point to allow panning a mono source, but I'm unable to find it at the moment; it may have been cut as it's not commonly needed.

I am many months late to this - but I have found a solution to this because I was trying out to see if a surround sound stream works (was working on a separate thing).

Anyways, the (very roundabout) solution that I found was using Voicemeeter Banana (https://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm) along with its virtual outputs and putting that through an ASIO Input Capture. I'll type it out here just for future reference if someone's ever going to use it.

This is the plugin I used https://github.com/Andersama/obs-asio

Within OBS, I created an ASIO Input Capture that was stereo, and then just put the audio of my Mic through that Voicemeeter virtual output, and then could set the balance to left/right that way
