edit scene, select the game capture then press ctrl-F. your new size if your base resolution causes the scene to need to be adjusted.

It would be best just to not use fast preset and instead use veryfast since your CPU is not an i7. That was the source of your skipped frames not the base resolution.

never mind i fixed that. but i have another problem, the video is almost always blurry.

This is because your source is 720 instead of 1080 and your base resolution in OBS is 720 instead of 1080. at that time you can downscale to 720 with bicubic filter just dont use fast preset. use veryfast preset.

what do you mean? the recording resolution on obs is 1080p, same in the game. its ending up looking like this:
https://youtu.be/3jj8AltNUv0
18:37:32: Base resolution: 1280x720
18:37:32: Output resolution: 1280x720

18:39:34: CaptureThread: attached to process hl2.exe
18:39:34: D3D9 Present
18:39:34: (half life scientist) everything.. seems to be in order
18:39:34: D3D9EndScene called
18:39:34: D3DPRESENT_PARAMETERS {
18:39:34: BackBufferWidth: 1280
18:39:34: BackBufferHeight: 720

That is even worse. you forgot to downscale to 720p with bicubic filtering.

set game resolution to {1920, 1200} then remove all MSAA and set most in-game settings to medium or lower.

Note that with a 16x10 aspect ratio monitor expect cropping on twitch.tv and other services. This is because those sites recommend 16:9 aspect ratio. This is, of course, after you fix your scene.

omg dude your an amazing person, it fixed everything, i can record at 1080p60 without any skipped frames and the video looks exactly like in the game.
the only problem is that the videos are quite large on file size, and that can cause a problem with storage and uploading (i have 2mb upload sadly, thats how it works in my country), but these are problem which i have to fix them myself.
thanks again dued! you were big help :)
