Hi all, and thanks in advance for any help.
I'm trying to use OBS and the Virtual Camera option to output the content of a program I'm running on my Windows 7 PC to Zoom. I've been able to get my application's video content to flow to Zoom, but depending on the setup (OBS Versions, OBS Settings, etc.) I either get what looks like an image frame buffer failure to clear / swap fast enough OR a high latency / low frame update rate when viewed in Zoom on a connected Windows 7 or Windows 10 PC. The output of the Virtual Camera on the Windows 7 PC hosting the Zoom meeting looks great and I've looked at OBS Stats and the reported update rates and frames dropped are all good. That's part of the reason I haven't attached a log file, but I can if necessary.
I'm at wits end trying to figure out which combination of settings to use to solve these problems. I do believe it to be a Zoom problem more than an OBS problem, but I can impact the Zoom view with changes to OBS settings.
Also, my hosting PC is hard wired to my router. My PC's logging into the Zoom meeting are connecting via a wireless connection. My Internet Service upload and download speeds are no less than 24Mbps so I don't believe my problem is internet related. I've also cleared all the PC caches (on all machines) and updated Zoom to the latest version.
Any suggestions on how to optimize OBS and the Virtual Camera for this kind of setup would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick
