Question / Help Zoom Q2n can't get audio to work for streaming

I've pored over these forums and though I see a lot of audio issues, none so far is exactly like mine...

I'm running High Sierra on Mac OS 10.13.3. I get a fine video signal via Video Capture Device source. And for audio source I'm using iShowU Audio Capture. But I get no input signal. I can see the audio signal on my Zoom camera, so it's there -- it's just for some reason not making it into OBS (the Mixer shows no signal reception). In Properties it's selected to iShowU Audio Capture.

I'm wondering if the disconnect is reflected in my Settings, because when I go into Settings -> Desktop Audio Device the only option is "Disabled". Shouldn't I see iShowU as an option here? The only places in Audio Settings I see iShowU reflected is in the drop-downs for Mic/Aux Audio Devices (I've tried selecting iShowU here but alas still no signal).

HELP?!?!

iShowU is to get desktop audio-- sounds from applications run on the Mac, not external devices.

If your camera has a microphone, It should show up as a possible source you can add to your scene as an Audio Input.

@Narcogen Thanks so much for chiming in! I'm hopeful you're helping because I didn't think I had mess with scenes for OBS to read both the visual and audio from my external camera. However I don't know how to work with scenes?

(According to a video fro the Zoom camera folks, all I should have to do is select Audio Input Capture in the Sources area of OBS, and then select "Q2n Audio Web Cam" -- however that selection does not appear (I just see "Default" and "Built-in mic").

If you're suggesting I work with a scene, how do I do that?

You are in a scene, that's where the Sources tab is.

It should show up and it doesn't. Does sound from this camera work in other apps, like QuickTime player or iMovie or FaceTime?
