Zoom/OBS Questions

Hey everyone,

I am wondering what your successes are with livestreaming Zoom to OBS.

I work for a Foundation and in our fundraising efforts, we took on a stream-a-thon to raise money for our hospital. We had celebrities join us to chat, perform and what not.

The way we currently do it is that when they come on at their designated time, they wait in the waiting room and we bring them in once it's their turn. If the guests all join prior to the stream starting, we have them stop their video then mute and when their turn is up, we rely on them to start video and unmute. Is there an easier way to have them always on the screen then switch scenes to show both?

Window Capture would make sense, but my concern is when someone leaves a meeting, the orientation of each guest jumbles up on Zoom so the screen capture wouldn't stay the same....or if I wanted to do a split screen between two people, how would I be able to position it per each person it's changing between?

Lastly, if I have everyone on the call at once - then how do I keep the audio with the one or two people being shown since OBS pulls the audio from Zoom in general, not from each individual user.

Hope I make sense here and hope someone can guide me.

Thank you!
