Hi all,
need to feed the daytime footage of an IP camera covering a field to YouTube.
Camera is wired to PC running OBS which is connected with a wireless link to the internet.
Camera stream to OBS is constant and solid without any hickups.
Wireless link or power however sometimes fail (it is a remote location).
Now sometimes YouTube (in "STREAM" mode) claims "Stream Finished", probably due to some dropout of data and get's stuck in a "DISMISS / EDIT IN STUDIO" screen.
YT never recovers automatically from that.
After I "DISMISS" manually, YT goes from
"Start sending us your video from your streaming software to go live"
to
"Excellent connection"
but no video ever appears in the YT "Studio" screen, it just keeps looping that circle.
I must then also "Stop Streaming" in OBS and re-"Start Streaming" for the video to reappear on YT after such an outage.
However, YouTube's "MANAGE/SCHEDULE STREAM" offers a nice "Enable Auto-start" feature, so in case of any interruptions it recovers fully and continues the video. I interrupted the wireless link for over an hour and YT video came back nicely once I restarted the link.
Questions:
Is there a way for OBS to create a "SCHEDULE STREAM" with YT every day?
If not OBS itself (which I gave full YT access), is there another tool or script which could create a "SCHEDULE STREAM" every day, before I call/schedule OBS to feed it?
Thanks for your help and ideas!
