I have used OBS for about a year now. I've always streamed at 1080p at 30fps and never had over 100 frame drops. Recently I started using OBS MP and everything is the same as it was on the original, 1080p at 30fps on twitch with nearly no frame drops. I then decided to switch to YouTube gaming and with the same settings OBS MP told me that I was dropping over 1000 frames. Here is some info about my wifi and my pc.
Download Speed: 24.40 Mbps
Upload Speed: 11.69 Mbps
CPU: Intel Xeon W3530 @ 2.80GHz
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Ram: 12.0 GB
One more thing I should mention is that I stream from my pc and play on my Xbox One using elgato. I only have open my chat, media player (for music) and OBS MP
These are my obs settings I normally use.
Encoder: x264
CBR: Enabled
Max Bitrate: 5000 or sometimes 4500
Resolution: 1920x1080 (No downscale)
FPS: 30
x264 CPU Preset: Veryfast
Key Interval: 4
Thanks for reading this. I hope you can help.
