This isn't specifically a "Windows" issue as far as I can say. My computer is a Windows 10 using OBS Studio.
I stream to Restream which then goes to Mixer, Youtube, and Twitch. The audio quality during streams appear just fine. However, when I go and rewatch portions of my streams, they are much quieter.
I almost didn't notice until today, when I jumped from looking at some segments of my last stream, to watching a different video from a different creator (youtube subscribed videos). I nearly thought accidentally cranked up my sound system volume, by mistake. After switching from the stream to various others, such as music videos, I could definitely tell a great difference in audio. My PC's output is already at MAX, so that only leaves me with my sound system.
Checking the Loudness decrease in Stats for Nerds, I noticed the stream was -14dB. Ok, I recall reading about the Loudness war back in the day a few years ago, I just have something that is spiking in loudness. In my case, I'm certain it was either the jumps cares (I'm a guy, and I don't sound like a girl when scared) or the clanging while mining ores or upgrading some blocks (7 days to die, iron quite loud).
Is there a way in OBS Studio to muffle audio, hopefully decently, so I don't kick in the youtube's loudness dampener? I'm aware if I just up the volume output on OBS, it wouldn't make a difference in the saved videos.
