Question / Help [XFCE] Can't record windows from another working surface

e.g. I'm on working surface one and I have there obs and try to record a window from working surface two, that one will get shown as a red square.

That's correct. Windows aren't mapped when you're on another work space. Basically, if it is impossible for you to see a window then the system is smart enough to not waste the resources needed to render it.
