First of all I am extremely new to the whole thing so before I started streaming I wanted to first figure out how to simply just record.
What I am trying to do is stream my Xbox one to my pc (through the Xbox app and record that windows so I can skip buying a game capturing hardware like the most common Elgato). I have connected my pc and Xbox just fine but there are a couple of problems with OBS.
Also I need to mention that I have 2 monitors. Monitor 1 is connected to my pc with the motherboard's VGA port and Monitor 2 is connected to my pc with the GPU's HDMI port and to my Xbox with the monitor's 2nd HDMI port.
My 1st problem is that when I select the window capture and choose the Xbox app, the feed is black. It is just black but I can see my mouse on it and when I re-scale the window, it changes the feed on OBS too. But I can bypass that by selecting Display Capture instead and here comes my 2nd problem.
My 2nd problem is that OBS can only recognize the monitor that I have set as "main" from Windows' "Display settings". I changed back and forth switching which monitor was the main one and I could see the feedback from both monitors but I didn't the option to choose between which monitor I wanted.
I don't know if it will help but I have OBS' log file from the session:
http://pastebin.com/sqUs7vgP
Also I don't know if it matters but I have a non-activated version of windows 10 and OBS recognizes as a separate window the part of the screen that says
"Activate Windows
Go to Setting to activate Windows", which I thought it was interesting.
