X264 support with mpegts

I am a new user, and I was quite excited to see multicast support under the recording option.
Using mpegts container to stream UDP multicast involves mpeg2 encoder. It seems that this encoder consumes a lot of resources and bandwidth. In VLC one is able to use h.264 UDP MULTICAST with TS container. It would be great if the same is available in OBS. A number of people using VLC could opt for OBS.
It will be a great facility for me and my ilk to have this facility.

Pls let us know if this is possible. Is it a case of just expanding the encoder choice, or much beyond that?
When can this be done?

x264 support with mpegts is actually already possible, though not through the GUI.

I tested a mpeg-ts udp stream with x264 + aac to a wowza server; works perfectly.
I also expect mpeg-ts tcp to work oob (in push mode).

BUT I am still unable to have multiple audio streams with mpeg-ts through the advanced recording (standard recording does however record multiple tracks, but I am talking of streaming several audio streams with the same video).
