I recently upgraded to a 5900x and I am now messing around with the X264 custom settings looking to get a little more quality. And just for the fun of messing around. But it seems it can't do much compared to the 3600 I was previously using. So anybody using custom settings on this CPU, please let me know what you are using so I can test it out and see if it works for me.
An example being me=tesa. It drops due to encoder, and crashed my game when a cutscene would start. But I do know this is one of the more hardcore options.
I am streaming 720p/60fps slow preset with rc lookahead 120. This was how I streamed on the 3600 as well. I play action adventure games in 1080p/60fps.
Is the 5900x capable of putting out a better 720 stream? Or am I not going to see much difference untill I go 936p or 1080p? The point of upgrading was to have a much cleaner 720p stream.
