Wrong Resolution List in Both Video Settings and Display Capture options

I am on 31.0.1.

OBS is reporting strange Resolutions in both the canvas and my desktop / windows captures.

I have a 4k LG CX setup, a 1440p LG Monitor, and 3 1080p displays. The resolutions listed in the display capture are wrong.

The 4k TV is being reported as 1080p in OBS for some reason and my 1440p monitor is showing as 2840x1152 in display capture. Also Automatic capture method does not work, I have to manually select windows 10.

The resolution list in the OBS Settings > Video Section show the same weird resolution list that the Display Capture is showing.

These resolutions are just pulled from the information Windows provides to OBS...I would assume these are the same resolutions you see if you open your Windows display settings.

That's the problem. These resolutions don't match, other than 1080x1920.

I installed a portable version of OBS which reports the correct resolutions. I then copied my Config (appdata) folder to the portable version, and my plugins folder, and it still worked correctly on the portable version.

I then reinstalled OBS. Renamed my appdata folder to create a new one. The OBS installed on my system continues to report the incorrect resolutions, while the portable version works correctly.

Is there some other file for setting that might be different between these two?

Here are the log files for both with the exact same Plugins and OBS-Settings folders:

Okay, looking at the log files I figured it out.

Back when I was troubleshooting the new SE.Live OBS plugin - Multi streaming Beta, there is a bug with vertical canvas which can only be fixed by forcing the DPI setting on the OBS64.exe -

Doing this breaks OBS ability to set the proper resolution because it forces 100% DPI when it reads the monitors output. So the options to fix the vertical canvas bug AND the resolution showing properly in OBS is to set the DPI in windows 100%, which is not a great option, or hope that desktop capture doesn't crop in with the wrong resolution on your monitor, which I cannot get to replicate, but that's what started this rabbit hole.

Either don't set DPI above 100% and don't override, or use the override to setup the vertical canvas while not streaming, then go turn it off so everything else works right in OBS. There could be other bugs associated with the wrong DPI / Monitor Resolution that I didn't run into.
