Hey,

I have a question/problem with the sharpness of the colors in OBS. Much to explain. But I don't want this ;)

Here are two screenshots:

(Second picture)

Do you have any idea, why this happens and any idea how to fix it?

Thank you!

PS: Bitrate: 60000, 1920*1080 px, 60 FPS

Go to advanced settings

YUV color space and YUV color range: by default these are set to 601 partial.
You can try 601 full and 709 full.

This is common behavior for the colors compression. Just make sure that both original and output has the same scale in obs (Settings>Video). Your second image are smaller then original. If you need to scale it down, then set Lanczos or Bicubic filter (Settings>Video).

If red looks like orange, try 709.

If the colors are blurry, YUV 420 / i420 have a half vertical and half horizontal chroma/color resolution. If you are just recording, i444 / RGB may be ok, but live streaming to a website without 100% transcoding (re-encode to different resolutions) will harm mobile device compatibility due to the use of h264 High444 profile that most mobile devices do not support and for others, will increase CPU usage of viewer's CPU decoder.

Unsure if OBS studio allows main/high 4:2:0 stream with x264 high444 recordings, but some hardware encoders (QuickSync) will only support 4:2:0 encoding and does not support high444 encoding.
