Won't start recording while on background

When OBS is running on the background It will ignore me pressing the hotkey to start recording, like it just does nothing no errors no logs anywhere just nothing. Installed through official ppa, Ubuntu 22.04

Hotkeys will not work on Wayland when OBS is not in focus.
