Question / Help With or Without Browser

Hi, I'm sure this has been asked infinite # of times, but i can't find reference to it... prompted for the update which created a couple of items in question for this old feable mind:

If I download the installer that the prompt takes me to will that installer just automatically update the software or do i need to fiddle with it?

And which version/what's the difference? OBS studio or studio w/browser?

When you click on the update link it takes you here:

https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/releases

Scroll past the release notes and then choose

OBS-Studio-0.14.2-With-Browser-Installer.exe,

download and run this, I'd recommend closing OBS Studio before you run the installer.

It'll upgrade over the top and not affect your settings.

With has the Browser source installed without does not. If I'm 100% honest I have no idea why you would want the latter :-)

The browser plugin adds an extra running process that uses valuable CPU, even when the browser plugin isn't active and used in a source.
Since I have no use for the browser plugin, there is no need to waste the extra CPU.
