Windows Setup Requirements

Hello,
New to Open Broadcast.
I was wondering if the software can be installed on a Windows Server 2012 r2?
I would also like to use the software as a Server Client usage.

Server OSes typically don't have GPU drivers etc that are up to date, and OBS requires real hardware such as a GPU and output connected, remote desktop etc will not work well. You're welcome to try it but if it doesn't work you're on your own.

OK.
so OBS software loads to the desktop for live recording of your desktop or camera?
Can the recording be saved to a local server instead of the desktop for storage then uploaded to lets say Youtube?
what i am trying to do is to have 3 or 4 people do live recording of DIY training scenarios then store the recording for upload to Youtube.
Am I even heading in the right direction with OBS?
