Hello helpful people ...
Up until today (!) I have been satisfactorily using Text-to-Screen (https://github.com/Klocman/Text-To-Screen/releases) to place words as an overlay to video/image etc. Text-to-Screen does a fairly simple job of placing sections of a textfile on a separate window; I have been using windows capture in OBS Studio. It has a main window and also an output window named [something like] "Text to Screen Output". So what has happened is that the main window is available for capture, not the "Output" window - it's just not in the list of windows available in the Window Capture Source. (I've done quite a bit of googling around the issue, and there's a lot around about the black screen issue - but this not it; the window name is simply no longer in the pull-down list.)
Nothing has happened to Text-to-Screen, as it's latest update was a few years ago. I'm on OBS 26.0.2, and have been for a few weeks. The only system change that I can think of is various windows updates of late. At any rate, a bit of investigation suggests that many more windows or sub-menus registered to the OS than are ever listed in the pull-down list, so I would be guessing that there's a filter going on somewhere.
Any suggestions?
The other thought is that my Text-to-Screen approach works well enough (when it works), but is there a plugin or an alternative approach for this relatively simple task?
Thank you,
