The problem: OBS's window capture doesnt work with most games in Windows 7, disabling Aero fixes this issue but it also brings about the annoyance of having other windows overlap the one recorded and this also causes big privacy concerns. I dont think hardware acceleration is the issue, window capture does work with browsers after disabling that, but i didnt have a problem with them, only with certain games or even videos.
Backstory: I have used Windows 10 for a while and this was never an issue before with my same setup, game capture doesnt work very well with certain games so i always had window capture as the one option to fall back on in such cases. I have recently changed back to windows 7 due to reasons and now this problem has surged and is being quite annoying to pin point the reason for it.
Things i have tried: Running OBS as admin (nothing changed), reading forums for the same issue (i saw that this issue was mentioned before and the recommended thing to do was access the nvidia control panel which doesnt work for me since i have an amd card), i tried activating multi-adapter compatibility but it never did anything either.
My setup: I run a double monitor setup with my secondary monitor connected to the integrated graphics, i have no reason to believe this is the problem, but just in case i will point this out.
Affected apps: Video players, both vlc and mpc hc cannot be window captured, rpg maker games, other games like Celeste or basically any game i have tried, the best i can get in some games is that the capture gets frozen in a single image of the game like in the second picture. All of them work well with Aero off, but not with it on. This was not a problem when i had Windows 10.
The log from these captures was included too. I will appreciate any help, i have been trying to solve this issue for a while now.
