I recently upgraded my GPU from a 1660 to an RTX 3060. After I completed my installation all of my computer applications were working fine, including OBS Studio. I had StreamFX already installed as a plugin in OBS, but was unable to use it because my 1660 could not run StreamFX. I closed OBS Studio and reinstalled StreamFX , and after I installed the plugin, and opened OBS, my application kept crashing at startup. I have followed all of the directions in the previous threads for the kernellbase.dll and I cannot get anything to work. I have followed the following instructions and nothing:
Method 1: Register the .dll file.
  • Tap on the Windows key on your keyboard and type Command prompt.
  • Right click and Run as administrator.
  • Type: regsvr32 KERNELBASE.dll
  • Restart the computer and check.
When I enter this I receive the following error message: The module "kernelbase.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DIIRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "kernelbase.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.

I have also tried additional methods that did not work.
  1. Scanned entire computer for viruses and other malware. Result: nothing
  2. Executed the sfc/scannow command. Result: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
  3. Completed a system restore. Result: OBS still crashing
  4. Windows Driver Search for updates. Result: All Drivers were up to date.
    1. Not sure if this is the problem, but also attempted to update my ryzen 5 6-core processor using the AMD StoreMI Installer, and I keep getting the message: StoreMI requires at least one hard disk drive and one ssd to function. Please configure the system with such.
  5. Created new user account. In case there was user account corruption.
  6. Installed an in-place upgrade with windows 11. Result: 0x80070017 - 0x2000C The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during APPLY_IMAGE operation.
I cannot get anything to work, please help me. I have attached the OBS Studio log and crash log to this thread.
