Hello, I'm new to OBS and just using it with a capture card so I can stream Switch gameplay to Discord friends. (I know the bare minimum for making OBS work.)
When I'm streaming from my Switch, the lack of activity on my PC means that the monitors will turn off based on the "Turn off the display" setting. This PC doesn't do this when I have other media running on my computer (YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Plex for streaming; VLC for local media) and I'm not sure why OBS isn't treated in a similar fashion. I've changed the "Turn off the display" timer, but that really just means it rarely turns off when inactive when I'm not using OBS too now, which isn't really the desired behavior.
Is there some OBS or Windows setting I can do so that it will keep the display on while I have OBS running but am not otherwise interacting with the PC?
Things I've tried:
OBS 29.1.3 (64 bit)
Windows 11 Home, 22H2, 22621.1992, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22644.1000.0

Things I've tried:
- Windows 11 > Power Options > Advanced Settings > Multimedia Settings > When Sharing Media [Setting: Prevent idling to sleep]
- OBS > Settings > Output > Replay Buffer > Enable Replay Buffer [Yes] ... tested this because other threads reported that having replay buffer prevented machines from going to sleep while OBS is running
