Windows 11 22H2 - Disconnected display causes issues with display capture

Hi there,

Thought i would reach out and share a bug i may have just found with potentially Windows 11 22H2 (was not an issue with 21H1).

So, just for better understanding, my monitors are setup A | B | C. - Monitor B is a 144Hz MSI gaming monitor, and monitors A & C are a DELL P2421 monitor.
Monitor B is normally connected to the GPU, but set to 'disconnected' in Windows. This is due to having an XBOX hooked up to it also, and when gaming on there i leave the monitor in 'disconnected' in windows to prevent programs from going onto the monitor while the input source is switched.

With this monitor disconnected, when trying to display capture A or C monitors, OBS only seems to capture monitor C, and when selecting monitor A i get monitor C's display. Monitor A is also the default monitor for Windows & POST.

If i enable monitor B, OBS detects all monitors and the issue is resolved, and then reoccurs when the monitor is set to disconnected in windows.
With monitor B set to disconnected in Windows, and i unplug and re-insert the DP cable to the GPU the monitor stays in disconnected status, BUT OBS detects my two DELL monitors and behaves like normal, this also resolves the issue until next reboot and the issue reoccurs.

I have downloaded another capture software (xSplit) which doesnt seem to replicate the same issue as OBS does, it seems to work fine and does not have this issue. i have uploaded a video showing the issue and can be found here: https://youtu.be/E-s6yzezf2U

Please let me know if you need any more information. Thank you @Pengwen for helping me out over on Discord too.

Kind regards,
Jaye

I managed to find a workaround for this, which is to change over the connections on the GPU and make monitor B the POST display, looks like by doing that it has resolved the issue, but i feel as if this is more of a workaround compared to a solution but something to bear in mind.
