Question / Help Windows 10 No Audio

My friend is running OBS Studio on Windows 10. However, when he records there is no audio. I have asked him to send me the files (mp4) and I put them in Sony Vegas and it's not that the audio isn't being recorded, the issue is there is no actual audio track. If we had the wrong devices selected (which I'm pretty confident we don't) then surely there would be an audio track with nothing on it rather than no audio track at all. We have tried adding the audio inputs and outputs as sources directly to the scene and that doesn't help either.

Thanks in advance :)

Have you checked in good media players like VLC to make sure?
Have you tried loading the file in audacity (with the ffmpeg import module installed)?

Is he using a Hauppauge capture device? Seems like it's an issue with the new OBS and Hauppauge. I've been noticing that most people that are reporting problems with capturing sound have a hauppauge device.

Have your friend upload his log file.
