Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing some strange beahviours.
If I enable HDR mode under windows' dispaly settings, the disaply capture in OBS has "washed out" colors (pic 1).

If I disable HDR mode everything is ok. Check the green Excel color on the background (pic 2)

Am I doing something wrong? Since my main monitor is HDR capable I would really much like to have it activated.

Any idea on how to fix this?

On OBS open Display Capture Properties, than change your capture metod from automatic or DXGI to Windows 10 (1903 and up). Now colors will be captured as normal

if you have some other hdr device like xbox series x, then you can test if its windows specific.

I have issue what xbox series x hdr-as-sdr no filters works fine no washed, but windows 11 hdr-as-sdr streaming/recording no filters does not work its washed out.

will not turn any tonemap filter on, hdr-as-sdr streaming/recording needs to work without any filters.

somehow turning off hdr on the captured display in windows 11 does not make any difference. that must mean that the washed out is correct smh.
