Question / Help Windows 10 Audio Playback issue

Hey I was wondering if anybody knows how to fix the issue I'm having. On play back from local recordings in MP4 format. The media player that comes with windows 10 has no audio. I have had this issue ever sense I upgraded to windows 10 and the only way I can preview the audio in a video is to upload to YouTube. What can I do to fix this? Would buying software to edit videos also have this problem or is it an issue within the media player????

Try to view the video in VLC. If it works fine in that, then it's likely an issue with Windows Media Player.

If it does not work fine, or even if it does and you'd like more detailed feedback, upload a log file from a recording session.

If it's Microsoft video editing software, and it's an issue with Windows Media Player, then it would likely exhibit the same problem. It's hard to give a clear answer on whether or not other products would be affected, since we don't actually know the problem you're having, and this is all conjecture.

Never mind found it. I will test it in this media player and see whats going on. I don't know why it would upload to YouTube find but not play straight off the HDD.
