Question / Help Window/Game Capture no longer works

So I run a Windows 7 OS and ever since a few versions ago I could use Window and Game Capture. I did uninstall to free some space but I kept settings. Every time I try to make a new one or edit the old ones I am not able to. Since I run this on a laptop I am unable to change the Graphics card or CPU so those are ruled out. If anyone has had the same issue or at least knows a fix please help.

EDIT: Please note that I have used OBS for quite some time (a few years).

Ah my mistake you did. Missed that, sorry!

Go into game capture properties and make sure the custom scale is disabled.

Can you upload the current log after making that change? It should show more info on the issue with the scale error resolved.

Well thats because right now I can only do Captures that don't involve Specific windows...unless i disable Kaspersky...I will do some research into what kaspersky blocks to see if i can fix it.

Found the reason: When Kaspersky is in Security Level "High" It will block anything it see's as a threat including anything accessing the webcam. Turning down this setting allows OBS through again and you can still have protection enabled.

Looks like you got to the solution before I was able to respond :)

Kaspersky is extremely aggressive, and interferes with quite a few applications from functioning normally. You can also try the steps outlined here: http://i.imgur.com/cVxCJEP.png
